Easter Egg nest cupcakes for my little guy! Make your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe... I used my “better than the box method” for these since I spent the morning making from scratch cheesecake. Then for icing I decided to use a similar “make something better” technique. Take one tub of your favorite store bought chocolate icing (I used @realduncanhines classic chocolate), put in a mixing bowl and then add one jar of @kraftjetpuffed marshmallow creme, one half a stick of softened @landolakesktchn salted butter and mix until combined and smooth. Next add @imperial_sugar powdered sugar... I start with one cup and mix through... add more until the consistency is stiff enough to form soft peaks and if touched with your finger some icing remains on your finger. (If no icing sticks, sparingly add more butter, or a little milk a tablespoon at a time). Then transfer to a piping bag and use your favorite technique to pipe icing on top. I used a circular pattern to mimic nests and topped with @mmschocolate peanut butter m&m’s and a handful of sprinkles I had on hand. I’ll be placing mine on a three tiered serving platter to enhance my Easter table tonight! What dessert did you make to treat your family on Easter!?
